FIRST BLOG
Hi! I’m Kaviya N , currently a second-year Computer Science student at Anna University. Ever since I wrote my first lines of code, I’ve been fascinated by how programming can solve real-world problems and create new possibilities. I’m passionate about learning everything from algorithms and data structures to web development and artificial intelligence. Outside of coding, I enjoy doing exercises and yoga , which helps me keep a balanced life.
So far, I’ve worked on a few projects that have really helped me grow as a programmer. For example, Medical Data Extraction using Op oencv, regrex and pytesseract and I learned a lot about frontend design and responsive layouts. In another project, I implemented a basic games application in Java, which gave me hands-on experience with networking and multi-threading. Each project not only strengthened my technical skills but also taught me how to manage time and solve unexpected problems.
This semester, I’m diving deeper into data structures and algorithms, which is challenging but incredibly rewarding. I remember struggling with recursion at first, but with practice and patience, it finally clicked. I also started exploring machine learning through online courses, which opened my eyes to the vast potential of AI and data-driven applications. Balancing coursework with personal projects has been tough, but it’s taught me discipline and how to prioritize effectively.
My Goals
Looking ahead, I want to continue building projects that push my limits and expand my skill set. I’m particularly interested in web development and AI, and I hope to land an internship next summer to gain real-world experience. Long term, I aspire to work on technologies that make a positive impact, whether that’s through innovative software or research. Along the way, I’m focused on improving not just my coding, but also communication and teamwork skills.
Let’s Connect
I’m always eager to connect with fellow students, developers, and mentors. If you’d like to chat about CS, share resources, or collaborate on projects, feel free to reach out via email or LinkedIn. Thanks for stopping by and following my journey!
